How to check the tightness and quality of TPO membrane welds without damaging the weld - Vacuum Plate 100-LP (Using Battery)

Some TPO and PVC membrane construction projects are constructed using automatic welding machines, handheld welding machines and how to check the tightness and quality of construction.

How to check by vacuum method:

First, apply soapy water to the weld that needs to be checked. Place the vacuum chamber directly over the weld area to be inspected. There are rubber gaskets around the edges of the vacuum chamber to create the necessary tightness with the test material. The vacuum is created thanks to a vacuum pump mounted on the machine. Due to the large difference in pressure, air will enter the vacuum chamber through the defects. The surface of Vacuum Plate 100-L is designed to be transparent, through which we can observe the location of defects according to soap bubbles.

 

Mark the leak location with a colored pen, and use a Triac ST/Triac AT handheld torch to perform the repair.
